I have been fortunate to travel to many wineries in the United States and Europe. I have also been to several of the Southern Virginia wineries and enjoyed the experience each had to offer. Some wines were better than others, but I enjoyed the hospitality and several of the wines at Molliver’s. I favor the Vidal Blanc, Reisling, and they did have a Merlot which was excellent (which by the way, they sold out of at one point, have not tried the new Merlot yet). I also enjoyed the beauty and serenity of the vineyard. I encourage any of your readers to visit . Terri C.
My current favorite is Molliver’s Viognier, followed very closely by their Vidal Blanc and Chardonnay. These wines are just part of the reason that my husband and I keep returning to Molliver whenever our wine supply runs low. -Marian B.
The best kept secret in Halifax County, even though its not a secret! Come on out and enjoy the wine and the laid back times you can have. October 8th would be a good time to experience it. They are doing a benfit for the Humane Society. -Jeaneen A.
Their Vidal Blanc is outstanding. The Riesling is also, in my opinion, very good. -Larry
I, myself, am not a wine connoisseur. My first visit to a winery was Molliver. I can certainly say that it is far superior to others I have now visited. I enjoyed exploring the different tastes and the wonderful atmosphere offered by this establishment. If I do, in fact, desire a wine for any and all occasions, I always appreciate the suggestions made by their staff. It means a great deal to me that the people are willing to make recommendations based on how well they have come to know what best suits my preferences. If you are interested in having a pleasant experience, regardless of your expertise, Molliver is the place to be. Brian
This is an amazing place. The location is beautiful and the hospitality of the owners is out of this world. AND on top of that the wine is absolutely delicious especially the chardonnay. This was the last stop on a wine tasting trip in southern Virginia and we really enjoyed hanging out and talking with the owners.
This place also has events, weddings, hiking, fishing, swimming, picnicking, fishing and if you have an RV you can stay on their property. -Molly G., Liberty, PA
